Credit Requirements

The Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering has a four-year duration of study for undergraduate. At least 134 credits must be completed for graduation as a bachelor degree, including General Compulsory Courses (9 credits), General Education Courses (15 credits), Required Compulsory Courses by BSE department (79 credits) and General Electives (31 credits). In addition, undergrads are required to complete the Physical Education Courses (4 credits), which is not, however, included in the total required credits for graduation.

The duration of master’s programs at BSE is from two to four years. During the course of the master study, at least 24 credits of classes and additional 6 credits of master thesis must be completed. Those who pass the Oral Thesis Defense will be awarded a master's degree in engineering.

The duration of PhD’s programs at BSE is from two to seven years, and at least 28 credits and 12 credits of doctoral dissertation must be completed during the course of the course. A doctoral degree in engineering is awarded to those who have passed the qualifying examination and the Oral Dissertation Defense.
